Commerce Department Prepares for September Supply Chain Summit

The department will launch Supply Chain Center to offer global supply chain expertise.

The Department of Commerce announced that it will hold the Supply Chain Summit in Washington, D.C., on September 10. In partnership with the Council on Foreign Relations, this summit will bring together leaders from the government and private companies to address vulnerabilities in the U.S. supply chain, allowing them to begin a shift away from reactive supply chain maintenance toward proactive strengthening strategies. The Commerce Department will also launch a new Supply Chain Center offering its data and expertise to interested partner organizations.

“Securing American supply chains is vital to protecting our national security and enhancing our economic competitiveness,” said Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. “This summit will help us both engage with industry and highlight strategies the Biden-Harris Administration is leading to develop data-driven tools and proactively make our supply chains more secure.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo and Commerce officials as they prepare for the Supply Chain Summit.
  • For the leaders of the Council on Foreign Relations to receive discernment from the Lord.
  • For the president, vice president, and members of the administration as they address the U.S. supply chain.
